JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Meridian School MYP Language Arts teacher will blend the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) with the IB MYP Curriculum Framework. Meridian School submitted application for IB Middle Years Program (MYP) candidacy on April 1, 2015.

Meridian School is an authorized International Baccalaureate (IB) school, for the Primary Years Program (PYP)- grades K-6 and for Diploma Years Program (DP)- grades 11-12. As a charter school, we are able to offer our IB programs with fidelity.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

-- Valid TX Teacher Certificate in Language Arts preferred; 
-- Highly qualified per NCLB accepted.
-- Understanding and appreciation for different learning styles
-- Second teaching field such as social studies, visual arts, or theatre arts preferred. 
-- IB training and/or teaching experience preferred.
